Description: Bangla Trac Power Unit-2 Ltd. received LOI form Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) under Fast Track Project on 10th August 2017 to establish 100 MW HSD power plant in Noapara, Jashore to supply electricity to the national gird to meet high power demand of the country. After receiving the LOI, Bangla Trac Power Unit-2 Ltd. has completed the construction of 100 MW plant in just 08 months and achieved COD on 18th April 2018, which is the first to achieve COD among all the First Track power projects. We have been successfully ensuring best quality standard with our materials and services, such attribute has made us one of the best HSD based power plants in Bangladesh.


Location: Bangla Trac Power Unit-2 Ltd. is located at Adilpur, Abhaynagor, Jashore. This 100MW HSD Power Plant is situated on the bank of Bhairab river. The river plays a key role in the economy of Bangladesh. This river is connected with Mongla Port. Barge, Lighter ship, Oil tanker ships carry bulk shipment throughout this route. Travelling to Bangla Trac Power Unit-2 is very much convenient with any of the communication route- by Air, or Road, or water ways. It’s about 40 km away from Jashore Airport and very close to Khulna City. On 6 December 1971, Jashore became the first district of our country to be liberated from Pakistan regiment. Jashore proudly holds the name of being the first digital district in Bangladesh. Its’ landscape housing the largest flower garden of Bangladesh. Bangladesh’s main land port Benapole is situated in this district.


Plant Description: Plant capacity is 100 MW and consists of 77 engines. Noapara plant is built with state-of-the-art technology using Caterpillar reciprocating engines, the most fuel-efficient HSD engine installed and commissioned in Bangladesh. Total fuel storage capacity is 6,500 MT. The plant is connected to Noapara 132/33 KV grid substation through two 33/132 KV and 65/75 MVA transformer at generating end.


Facility Layout: Noapara plant is built on 10 Acres of land supported by water treatment plant, fuel treatment plant, maintenance building, two control rooms, substations, fuel storage tanks, fire tank, bunkering facility, independent jetty, etc.
